Dr. Anil Saleem MBBS, MD, DM, FACC, FSCAI, FESC is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist and serves as Lead Unit 2 at Department of Cardiology at Aster MIMS Calicut.

With expertise in Trans radial procedures, Dr. Saleem has vast experience in Complex coronary, Aortic, and Peripheral Interventions and Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) spanning over 15 years. His special areas of interest include Left main interventions, post Bypass interventions, coronary Rotablation, and intravascular lithotripsy. He is actively involved in limb salvage interventions, Heart failure clinics, and preventive heart programs. He is also responsible to train and supervise house officers and medical officers on rotation, training fellows in cardiology, and is also a teacher at diplomate of the national board.

He is a fellow of the American college of cardiology ( FACC) and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and interventions (FSCAI). He is also qualified with the internationally acclaimed Fellowship of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) diploma in 2013. He has completed his training in interventional cardiology from San Raffaele University, Milan Italy under world-renowned cardiologist, Dr. Antonio Colombo. He completed his Trans Catheter Aortic Valve implantation (TAVI) training under Prof. Alain Cribier, who is considered as the father of TAVI, from Rouen, France.

After graduating from Calicut Medical college in 1997, Dr. Saleem obtained his MD in 2002 from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal. He received his DM Cardiology from Mumbai University in 2006. His previous appointments include Hrudayalaya, Pariyaram Medical College ( 2006-2007 ), KIMS Al Shifa super specialty Hospital, Perintalmanna ( 2007-2011 ), and KMCT Medical College ( 2011- 2017 ). He joined Aster MIMS in 2017.
